Telephony

SIP, numbers and business telephony.

Connectionpoint provides numbers and SIP-based telephony for residential and business customers. Microsoft Teams Telephony is clearly separated as its own SBC integration path.

SIP telephony for existing and new phone systems

Business customers can use SIP trunks with their own PBX or another compatible voice platform. Suitable SIP-based services are also available for smaller environments and residential connections.

Numbers & portability

Existing numbers can be ported where applicable and new numbers can be provisioned.

SIP trunks

For PBXs and business environments requiring multiple concurrent calls and central number handling.

Existing PBX

Integration of existing phone systems, devices and numbering concepts where they remain technically useful.

Migration

Planning portability, reachability, cutover order and testing rather than performing an uncoordinated number change.

Microsoft Teams Telephony is a separate integration path

When Teams should become the user interface for external calling, Microsoft 365, numbers, SIP, the SBC and routing all have to fit together. This is covered on the dedicated Microsoft Teams Telephony with SBC page.

What we clarify before a change

We clarify the porting scope, existing numbering logic, concurrent calls, reachability, required devices and the intended migration sequence. For complex environments, telephony and Microsoft 365 dependencies are considered together without mixing the two entry points.
